Staff

All of our dedicated staff and volunteers have enhanced crb disclosure. We have three full time, NVQ qualified staff, and several volunteers - all of whom are undergoing playwork training.

Sue - PLay Leader and Manager

Sue - Play Leader & Manager.

Sue joined SCCYP as a volunteer in 2001.
Qualifications: NVQ 2 and 3 in Playwork and level5 in management.
Courses: Inclusion playwork course, ASD-ADHD-Dyslexia-Diabeties-Self Harm. Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, Fire Safety, Child Protection, First Aid, Training on Behaviour, Equal Opportunities, Domestic Violence, Homophobic bullying . Responsibilities: Managing Staff, Health & Safety, First Aid, Ofsted, Child Protection and Fire Safety.
My main interests are child protection, studying ADHD+ASD and making a safe secure environment for children to play.

Alma - Play Work Coordinator.

Alma joined SCCYP as a volunteer in 2001.
Qualifications: NVQ 2 and 3 in Playwork, E.C.D.L, Clait and level 5 in management.
Courses: Inclusion playwork course, ASD-ADHD-Dyslexia-Diabeties-Self Harm. Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, Fire Safety, Child Protection, First Aid, Training on Behaviour, Equal Opportunities, Domestic Violence.
Responsibilities: To support the play leader, secure funding and manage finances for play scheme, liaise with committee and external agencies. My main interests are supporting children and seeing them accomplish their goals, to provide anything creative, art and craft workshops, home work help etc.

Alma - Play Work Co-ordinator

Kayleigh - Playworker (one to one for children with disabilites) Sessional Dance Teacher, Centre Teacher.

Kayleigh started attending as a child in 2001, and has gone on to volunteering for SCCYP over the last couple of years. She is also employed as a link worker from Merseyside Access to Play on a sessional basis to give additional support to children and encourage inclusive play.
Qualifications: Dance Teacher, degree in primary education and early years, Teaching in University.
Courses: Child Protection, Health and Safety, Homophobic bullying. My interests are dance, guitar and working with young children.

Kayleigh - Playworker and Dance Teacher

John- Qualified footballer.

John comes into Sccyp on a Monday and Tuesday night to teach the children valuable life skills such as teamwork by coachng them to play football in a safe and secure enviroment.

John- Artist.

John is Sccyps artist. He creates fun and enjoyable projects that the children can take part in which shows their creativity.

Yvonne- Apprentice

Yvonne first started attending as a child and began to vounteer at the age of 15. After volunteering for 4 years she was offered an apprenticeship.
Qualifications: Yvonne is currently working towards getting a play work degree within the next few years.

Our Meetings are usually held every 6 weeks on a Tuesday or Wednesday morning
and attended by all members.

Becoming a SCCYP Committee Member

What is involved?
As a SCCYP committee member you will have the right to vote on matters which determine how SCCYP is run.

We implement policies and procedures in line with those from
Liverpool City Council and follow Ofsted guidelines.

You will be expected to attend a committee meeting once every 6 weeks (on average the meeting lasts around 1/half hours) where the staff will report back on organisational progress and new decisions made.
